6Purpose of processing
Personal information is processed only for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy — to quote, schedule, perform and invoice the pest control services requested, and to comply with applicable South African law.
7Recipients / categories of recipients
- PestAll employees and subcontractors performing the service
- Operators (hosting, form-handling, email, accounting providers) under written Operator Agreements
- SARS, the CIPC and other regulators where legally required
- Auditors, legal advisors and insurers under confidentiality
8Cross-border transfer
As detailed in our Privacy Policy, certain operators host data outside South Africa (principally in the United States and European Union). Such transfers are subject to either (a) binding contractual protections substantially similar to POPIA, or (b) the data subject's consent.
9Security safeguards
PestAll applies the technical and organisational safeguards required by Section 19 of POPIA, including HTTPS / TLS encryption, access controls, strong passwords, two-factor authentication on critical systems, and written agreements with all operators. See Section 10 of the Privacy Policy for full detail.
10How to request access to records
Requests for access to records must be made on the prescribed Form 2 issued by the Information Regulator, available from inforegulator.org.za. Completed forms should be sent to the Information Officer at the contact details in Section 2.
10.1 Fees
- Request fee — R50.00 (payable on submission, except where the request is for personal information about the requester).
- Access fee — calculated per the prescribed PAIA fee schedule (reproduction, search and preparation, postage). A deposit may be required if the access fee exceeds R100.
- Fees are payable to PestAll Services (Pty) Ltd by EFT before records are released.
10.2 Decision & appeal
The Information Officer will decide on the request within 30 days of receipt and notify the requester in writing, giving reasons for any refusal. A requester aggrieved by a decision may, within 180 days, lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to a court of competent jurisdiction.
11Grounds for refusal
Access to a record may be refused on any of the grounds set out in Chapter 4 of Part 3 of PAIA, including but not limited to: protection of third-party privacy, commercial confidentiality, legal privilege, safety of individuals, and where the request is manifestly frivolous or vexatious.
12Updates to this manual
This manual is reviewed annually and updated whenever there is a material change to our information-handling practices. The "Effective" date at the top of this manual reflects the most recent revision.
